What are the Dimensions of the CE Smith Front Hanger Bracket?

Question:

what is the actual distance between the mounting holes, short way? The info States it is 1 5/8. But, the first reviewer states he mounted it on a one and a half wide frame with 3/8 bolts. this would not be possible if the hole spacing dimension is 1 5/8. One and a half is a standard frame so it does not make sense to have an incompatible bracket. Hope its going to work because its the only thing available.

Hey Dave, thanks for reaching out!

I took a trip out to the warehouse and verified the CE Smith Front Hanger Bracket # CES65WR has mounting bolt holes measuring 1-5/8" apart, and the bolt holes themselves have a 3/8" diameter.

It's worth noting that the review you're talking about is for a different CE Smith bracket so what they said doesn't quite reflect everything with this hanger.

I am looking at using this hanger to support a 3”x3” crossmember at the rail. What is the horizontal distance between the right and left holes in the picture above? I am hoping that I can U-bolt it on the inside of the 4”x2” rail. Basically rotate the image above 90 degrees and then fasten it to the rail vertically with 2 x 4” square bolts.
