Question:

This is the bracket I think I need and I am now looking for the bracket mounting hardware. Can you suggest a square u bolt that will fit this bracket? The trailer frame is square and is 1 9/16 wide x 4 tall.

I've got a solution for you. Unfortunately the CE Smith Front/Rear Hanger Bracket for Double-Eye Springs - part # CE14026G you looked at aren't going to work. I measured the mounting hole on it and they are on 1 9/16" centers which means half of each hole will be covered by your trailer frame. I then checked out CE Smith Front/Center/Rear Hanger part # CE14035G40 and those hoes are on 1 5/8" canters still no good for your application.

After some brainstorming I came up with two options both of which need to be welded on. The etrailer.com Front/Center/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 2-3/8" Tall - 9/16" Bolt Hole part # 115918 will give you a connection point for your springs 1 1/4" from your frame and etrailer.com Front/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 1-5/16" Tall - 9/16" Bolt Hole part # 115917 will give you a connection point 1 1/2" from your frame. These will both be 1 7/8" wide outside to outside so they will be a little wider than your frame but that won't negatively effect anything. Sorry the solution isn't easier.
