Which MORryde Equalizer Do I Need?

Updated 08/06/2025 | Published 08/03/2025

Question:

I am looking at purchasing some MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers. My tires are ST235/80R16. I am not sure which Equalizers I need to purchase. The 35” ones or the 33” ones. Can you let me know which ones I need for the tires I have. Thanks

Hey Luis, thanks for the information about your tires. In order to recommend the correct MORryde equalizer for you I am going to need some measurements off of your current one. If you could tell me the distance between the center of the bolt holes from the left to the right and then from the top hole to the center line of the lower two holes.

The MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers item # MR27ZR you were looking at measures 8" long from left to right and from the top to the center line is 3-1/2".

What kind of trailer do you have?

You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Hello Jerred, I measured 7 3/4 and 2 3/4. I did not see that I need to measure that way. All I seen was for a set of 35” tires or 33” inch tires. I am not sure how to get the 35” or 33” measurement. I measured the tires I have from the bottom of the tire to the top and i get 30 1/4”. I have a 2014 Keystone Avalanche 295 RK 5th Wheel. Thanks for your help. Luis

@Luis Thanks for the additional information! Yeah, it's way easier to identify which one you need by just measuring your current equalizer. The MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers item # MR27ZR is going to be your best and closest option. It's a bit taller which will add a slight amount of height to your suspension. Since you are replacing your equalizers, you'll also need to replace the suspension bolts. They're only meant to be torqued down once. What you'll want to do is measure one of the shackles from bolt hole to bolt hole and go with the closest size. The MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit item # MR58ZR has 2-1/4" shackles and for 3-1/8" shackles item # MR76ZR.
