Question:
I have a 2006 Nissan Xterra with a factory installed trailer hitch and 7-pin connector. I constantly have problems with the 7 pin to 4-pin adapter. I would like to disconnect the 7-pin and install just a 4-pin so my boat trailer lights will work will the part #C55441 work, ? if not what will?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can just plug in the 4-Way connector # C55441 on your 2006 Nissan Xterra in place of the factory 7-Way. I recommend some how capping off the connection that you will need to unplug from the 7-Way to protect it if you leave the 7-Way on the vehicle.
