Question:

I want to flat tow my 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 behind my RV. I own a Roadmaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar SN017085. Please recommend options. I have no base plate on the Cruiser. Would likely use a tow bar for lighting.

Hello John, thanks for reaching out. There are no custom base plates made for the 1986 Toyota land Cruiser, so the only option would be a universal option like the Universal Bumper Brackets for Curt Adjustable Tow Bar # C19748. These can be mounted to any flat metal section of the vehicles bumper. Modification will be required for most applications. This will work with the Nighthawk tow bar as long as the swivel collars on your tow bar are the Roadmaster standard 2" wide.

Then you can use the Roadmaster Diode Kit # RM-15267 for your brake light wiring.

For the braking system the Demco Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251.
