Solution for Needing Replacement Hub for Mobile Home Axle

Question:
I have a trailer with a mobile home axle and would like to convert to regular trailer hubs / wheels brakes,. The hub appears to be a Dexter 3-222 and also has the number 78 on it. A dusr ring appears to be stamped 10-41 I can send a diagram of the axle diameter and lengths. Thanks

Hey Keith, the Dexter 8-222 model hubs currently on your trailer are designed primarily for mobile home use, and these types of hubs typically use unique bearing combinations that make it really difficult to find full replacement assemblies. Mobile home parts like these are really only manufactured for one time use so replacements aren't usually available.
Only option really is to replace the axle as it won't be possible get standard trailer axle components that will fit your axle.
To pick out an axle you'd need to know the axle capacity, the distance between the spring seat centers, and also the distance from hub face to hub face.
