Question:
I recently bought a front hitch for my 2024 ford f-150 that etrailer said was guaranteed to fit. However, when i went to install it there is adaptive airdam that extended down after you hit 45 miles per hour. How do i install this and keep that airdam? I already knocked out the stationary airdam. This was one added to all f-150s after 2022. Do i no longer get to use this feature? Thanks

Hey Andy, thanks for reaching out!
The EcoHitch # EH87SR you purchased is a confirmed fit for your 2024 Ford F-150, but we do have a tech tip saying "Product will not work with auto deploying air dam. Installation requires removal of lower front air dam."
So, since you have that feature this hitch won't work with it, unfortunately. Is that something you can disable? The Draw-Tite # 65067 won't work with it either.

No idea, honestly. I’m just confused because the person I paid $350 to install it came back from the back of the garage with this giant piece of the front end of may car and basically said I can’t use that part. I said “but etrailer said it’s guaranteed to fit.” He said “it does fit. Just not with this piece.” I asked him if it’s an important piece. He had no clue. Can you clarify? Is it an important part of my truck? Should I pay him more to remove it now? Would etrailer take it back if I did that? My understanding is that the adaptive dam thing is standard as I have a base mode. Thanks.
