Does the tilt-away feature work with bikes loaded? I want to access my hatch without taking everything off.

You’re good, Sara. One of the best things about the new Thule Outpace # TH39SA is its easy tilt-down function. Just pull the release cable and the rack drops away smoothly, even with bikes on board.
You’ll have full hatch access without unloading or wrestling the bikes. It’s one of the most user-friendly tilt features we’ve seen in similar racks. What vehicle do you have? We may have a video of a test fit on it.
