Hey Charles. The closest axle I have to 82" wide is going to the 86-1/2" Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles item # 8327816. This is a 5,200 lbs capacity axle but it's going to stick out an additional 2-1/4" on each side of your trailer. The spring seats are at 71-1/2".

Did your current axle you're trying to replace come with the trailer and if so what brand of trailer is it?

Jarred, would the dexter axle item number 4766689 work better. It's a homemade trailer I bought it 40 years ago. Best guest it looks like the axle is from a 1957 to 1959 studabaker truck. Actually you guys do supply all seals and bearings for it and the axle, metal and everything is very strong. I have one lug stud on each wheel gone now and really that's all that needs to be replaced. It's a process call stewging or swage to get them out. Know anyone that would know this ancient technique. Thanks,Chad

@ChadM We do not carry that one either but you added needing a 4" drop so I am not sure it works for you now even though it's the correct capacity. I am familiar with that term but I have never heard it applied to replacing lug studs. Do you happen to know the size of the bearings in your hub? I can try to track down a replacement for you that way. I would also need to know your lug nut pattern.

@Jerred, It's has two different size bearings per hub. Timken 2788. Timken 1779. I have purchased these from you along with the back seal over the years. The tire and rims are six lug. Thanks for any information, Chad

@Charles Thanks for the information on the bearings. We do not have any hubs with those size bearings in them. My only other solution at this point would be to replace your spindle with one like the item # TRU37FR, which would fit a more standard bearing size and then replace your hubs. The item # TRU37FR is 2-1/4" in diameter and would need to be welded on.

@Charles We do not carry it but that axle would definitely be a better fit for you but it's only rated for 3,500 lbs.
