Hi William!
The Active Controls ActiveStart Plug-In Soft Start for RVs - 50 amp # AS54FR will plug into a campsite pedestal and offer dual soft start circuits, but this one does not have surge protection. This is meant to be paired with a custom surge management system or installed where surge protection is already handled separately.
If you are also wanting to have surge protection, you will want the Active Controls ActiveStart Plug-In Soft Start for RVs - Surge Protection - 50 amp # AS34FR. This also has the dual soft start circuits, plugs into campsite pedestals, and has 5250J surge protection built-in. It's a little more expensive, but if you are wanting surge protection, it's the way to go.
Any more trips planned for the summer?
