Reduce your RV air conditioner startup power demand by up to 75 percent and eliminate that loud, clunking compressor noise. Start and run your AC without the fear of tripping a breaker or overloading your generator.
Limited shore power or a smaller generator can make it difficult to start your Brisk II air conditioner. This SmartStart reduces compressor startup power demand by up to 75%, making it easier for your AC to start on power sources that struggle with high inrush current.
Every compressor startup can bring a loud clunk and noticeable vibration through your RV. Once installed, this soft start smooths out compressor startup so your Brisk II starts with less noise and less jolt when the air conditioner cycles on.
You don't have to cut or crimp wiring during installation. The controller comes pre-wired and mounts inside your rooftop air conditioner with the included hardware, getting your system back into service with fewer installation steps.
If your air conditioner isn't operating as expected, three integrated LEDs display operating status and fault information. You can quickly see what your SmartStart is doing without guessing where to begin troubleshooting.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dometic single zone soft start for your Brisk 2 electronic air conditioner setup. Now if you have a Brisk 2 AC with an in- wall thermostat, this soft start module is designed to make your AC run a whole lot more smoother. Normally when an AC compressor kicks on, it's going to draw a large surge of power, which is what causes that loud clunk and the trailer might shake a bit and sometimes even trip breakers or overloads smaller generators. But this module's going to reduce that startup power demanded by up to 75%. So the compressor's going to start gradually instead of all at once.
But the biggest benefit is that you can often run your Brisk 2 AC on a smaller generator without worrying about it struggling to start your AC. This also makes it easier to run other small appliances at the same time since the AC isn't demanding such a large burst of electricity when it starts. And besides making startup quieter and smoother, this is going to help prevent nuisance breaker trips caused by the compressor's initial power draw. That can make camping with limited power or running off a portable generator much less frustrating. Installation's going to be pretty straightforward because this module comes pre-wired, there's not going to be any cutting, splicing, or crimping wires.
You're going to get everything that you see here. And it also has a built-in diagnostic LEDs. They're going to let you quickly see whether the system's operating normally or if there's a fault, making troubleshooting much easier if an issue ever comes up. I think this is going to wrap up our quick look today. Again, my name's Andy.
Thank you for joining me.
