Looking For Replacement Parts For Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch FA92-00-1000

Updated 07/28/2025 | Published 07/13/2025

Question:

I have an e2 reunion hitch. It says e2 92-00-1000 on the trunnion bars. But on the hitch it says 14,000 and 1400 on the hitch itself. I would like get a spare hitch. I don’t need the trunion bars or the brackets that attach the actual trailer. I want to replace the hitch only with the bracket and bolts that attaches to the hitch. Is this possible and if so how much?

Jesse thanks for your reply. Here is what I am trying to understand my shank says 1,400 tongue and 14,000 lbs. yet the trunnion bars say 1,000 lbs and 10,000 lbs on them. The ones you sent to me say 1,200 and 12,000. Either is plenty for my camper weight wise. I just to make sure all the measurements will be the same even though the weight load on what you sent me says 1,200 and 12,000 when the shank that I have now says 1,400 and 14,000.

@TonyW Yes so the shank is universal for any of the fastway systems. So it is typically rated for more than the bars themselves. It can be used with any spring bar and does is not a factor in the performance of the WD hitch. The spring bar weight rating is what is important. You have to be sure they are appropriately rated for your trailer. The spring bars are what actually determines the effectiveness and performance of the WD system. The measurements for the shank and head and bars are the same. It is just the strength of the steel the bars are made from. So if your bars are the 1,000 lb bars, they will work on trailers with a tongue weight between 600 and 1,000 lbs. If your tongue weight is under 600, there will not be enough tension on the bars and it will not be effective. If the tongue weight is over 1,000, the bars would be overloaded.
