Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are (also called bolt holes)
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look today at this Tamarack radial tire and wheel. It's a Cobra aluminum wheel. So if you need to replace a tire wheel combo on your camper, this will give you a complete assembly that's already mounted, inflated, and even balanced. That's going to mean less work for you to do before getting this right back on the road.
So we talked about it being pre-balanced. So that is worth pointing out because it's actually bead balance. So if you've never heard of bead balances, if it has a red cap on the valve stem, that generally across all tire industries denotes that it is bead balance. What's that mean So there's actual little beads that they put inside of this rather than external wheel weights and those beads continuously redistribute themselves as that wheel spins going down the road. And that helps reduce vibration.
It promotes more even tire wear as you travel and it's literally always redistributing itself, making it as level as possible. Now the tire itself is a load range E, so it has a 10 ply rating. It can carry up to 2,830 pounds at 80 PSI. So this is going to be a solid option for campers that need that higher load capacity. It also has a speed rating of M, and that means that it's rated for up to 81 miles per hour.
Now inside the tire itself, you've got double steel belts, double polyester plies, and a nylon overlay that's going to give you stability under load and help manage heat buildup. Now the wheel itself, it comes pre-mounted on this black Cobra aluminum wheel. So it's lightweight. It's a OE equipment. It's mainly used by Forest River. So this is a great option if you're matching up something that maybe got damaged or scratched and you want to have that clean, fresh new factory appearance. As you know, aluminum is rust proof. This also has a high grade automotive grade clear coat on top, so you don't have to worry about scratches and stuff like that as often because that's going to give it a nice coating. Now again, this is a six lug on five and a half inch bolt pattern. It's a 15 inch wheel and the pilot hole is a 4.25 or four and a quarter inch pilot hole.
