What Would Cause Wires On Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section To Start Smoking?

Question:
Hello, I watched the video multiple times and followed all the steps in the video, when I plugged to until into power the wires going from the fuse assembly to the power supply started smoking, I unplugged the power and the wires were completely burned, it didnt throw any fuses or even the house breaker. The old power supply was working, the reason I replaced it was the transformer had a loud hum. I wired everything up exactly like the old unit please.advise what I need to.do.

Hello Tom, thanks for reaching out. That is either due to a short somewhere along your wiring, or it is a wire gauge issue. Pretty much every time we see smoking or melted wire the problem is a short somewhere on the wiring that is WAY overdrawing the circuits. Check your wiring looking for any cut or exposed wire touching bare metal and fix as necessary.
