Replacement Lug Nuts for Aluma Trailer that Won't Swell

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 07/03/2025

Question:

I have a 10 Aluma trailer. It has the junky lug nuts that have the stamped metal cover over them that becomes a mystery size over time. Im looking for replacements but am a bit overwhelmed by the options on your site. I have a few pictures of them Id like to send you to figure out a suitable replacement. Or can you help me narrow it down? Thanks, Kevin

Hey Kevin, I'd be shocked if you didn't need a standard 1/2 inch lug nut like the # 12CLN you mentioned but this is the type that can swell overtime since it's chrome and that is susceptible to corrosion. A stainless steel lug nut like the part # DE55KR would be a better option. Feel free to email me back with a picture of what you have though and I'll double check.

Hey Kevin, did you get a chance to try out the stainless steel lug nut I suggested? I’d love to hear how it worked out for you and if it solved the issue with your trailer. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!
