Is the Weight Capacity Include the Weight of the Bike Rack for Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk?

Question:
Is the 100lb weight for the bikes only or does it include the bike rack? I have a Saris bike rack with two Trek e-bikes. I am concerned that the weight will be too much.

Hello Mel,
The 100 pound weight capacity for the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier for A-Frame Trailers - 2"-100 lbs # CC-275 would include the overall weight that it can handle, so the weight of the rack and the weight of the bikes.
I am happy to look up the weight of your bike rack if you let me know exactly which one you have. Also, a good way to keep the weight down on the e-bikes would be to take the batteries off during transport, most of the e-bike manufacturers suggest that you do this anyway during transport.
What rack do you have, and how much do your e-bikes weigh?
