Hey Mark! I would be happy to get your set up to flat tow your 2011 Ford Flex with your Winnebago Vista 36Y. I recommend the following:

-Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2604

-Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420 (includes safety cables)

-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267

-Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251

-Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 (required for brake system)

In addition to these parts you may also need a high-low adapter to keep your setup level. To find the right adapter measure from the ground up to the center of the hitch on your Winnebago. The bracket height for the base plate kit is 24-1/4" so you will subtract the hitch height to find the difference. You want to be in what we call the safe zone which is 3" above to 3" below level. I went ahead and attached a help article below which explains this in greater detail and includes pictures and diagrams. I also included a link to all of our available high-low adapters for your reference.

Any big trips planned with your motorhome this summer? Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks Robin for compiling this list for me. Do you have an approximate labor cost for installing the baseplate, brake system and wring? Should I be looking at something to keep my battery charged while towing? TIA

@MarkF a charge line kit # RM-156-25 isn't required since the battery doesn't drain while flat towing but you can add one just to be sure you don't have any issues. I don't have an approximate labor cost but I attached a link below for local installers. All you need to do is change your zip code and you can give the shops a call for an estimate.
