EJ-3520-BBX Electric Jack Will Not Go Up And Only Goes Down
Updated 09/08/2025 | Published 06/09/2025 >
Question:
I bought a RAM 3500lb electric jack as a replacement for an electric jack that had gone bad last year. I used the trailer 3 times after replacing the jack and now after being stored all winter the jack will not go up. It will only go down under no load.

Hello Dennis, sorry to hear about the problem with your jack. There are a few things that could cause this. The first thing is to check your wire connections. A broken or loose wire could cause the issues you are describing. Check your ground too and make sure nothing is damaged or corroded.
Check your battery too. If the battery is low it is not going to give enough voltage to the jack and could cause it to not work.
If all of that checks out and things still aren't working, I would have to assume something is internally wrong with the jack and it needs to be replaced. Looks like you are still within the 1-year warranty period. If you give our customer service department a call they can help you get the ball rolling on that.
