Hello, Regarding the Curt class 2 trailer hitch for a 2025 Toyota RAV 4 hybrid C66KR, a note indicates that instilling this hitch might compromise lift gate functionality. Can you clarify this, please? We will use the hitch for supporting a bicycle rack, so no electrical wiring will be installed. Please let me know if bolting the hitch in place without an electrical harness will somehow affect the electric lift gate. Thank you. Chuck

Hey Chuck! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C66KR may limit the functionality of the hands-free sensor on your 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The liftgate itself will still work as intended. This is typically unavoidable on vehicles with the hands-free function because of the location of the sensors and where your typical receiver sits. However, placing your foot to either side of the receiver in the "sweet spot" will still trigger the hands-free sensor. The only absolute way around this is to use a hitch with a removable receiver like the Oris # TS66VR.
Do you already have your bike rack? If you don't, I encourage you to get a Class III hitch like # C77MJ instead. This will give you a much larger selection of bike racks to choose from. If you need anything else feel free to reply below.
