Will Yakima LowRider Kayak Trailer Y82QD Work For Carrying Old Town Sportsman 106 Kayaks?

Question:
I am looking for a kayak trailer that will allow me to tow two Old Town sportsman 106 pdls. These kayaks are each 36 inches wide. I will be towing mostly in Texas and need a trailer that I can tow at a max of 75 mph. Would this be a good option? Also, are there optional bunk kits that can be purchased for this trailer. If this is not a good fit what trailer would you recommend? Thank you.

Hello Jack, thanks for reaching out. The Yakima LowRider Kayak Trailer is a great option for carrying tow Old Town sportsman 106 kayaks. The crossbars are 78" long so you will have room to spare with the kayaks side by side. Also, the tires have a 75 mph speed rating, so they will be fine to use at highway speeds as long as you obey the posted speed limits.
Sadly, Yakima does not offer a bunk kit for this trailer as it is only intended for carrying kayaks and not larger boats.
