COMING SOON in October 2026! This forward-opening rooftop cargo box offers 18.5 cu. ft. of storage with easy three-sided access. It locks from either side, and the set-and-forget mounting system makes installation and removal simple.
When road-trip bags, jackets, baby gear, or soft cargo get stacked in a roof box, access can become the annoying part long before capacity runs out. The forward-opening design gives your Varial XL access from three sides, so gear can be reached from either side or from the front instead of being locked into one loading angle. Its 18.5 cu ft of storage works with that access pattern for mixed cargo, letting bags and loose trip gear come out during stops while the rest of the load stays organized inside.
Large roof boxes are useful on ski weekends and summer travel, but slow mounting hardware can turn every install into a chore. The set-and-forget mount system is made for quick removal and installation once the box has been dialed in. When the trip is done, your box can come off and go back on for the next run without rebuilding the whole setup from scratch.
On a full travel day, it's frustrating when the side you need is blocked and the box only cooperates from one direction. The dual-sided locking and unlocking system lets your Varial XL operate from either side, giving access to the lock from more than one position around the roof box. During packing, unloading, or quick roadside stops, the box can be opened from the side that's practical at the moment and then secured again before driving.
Long highway drives make roof-box drag and wind behavior hard to ignore, especially when the box is mounted for a full trip. The Varial XL pairs a 16" tall low-profile shape with front air inductors that direct airflow through and around the box. At speed, the box presents a lower profile above the roof while the front inductors manage incoming air as the trip continues.
Digging through a dark cargo box at night, in rain, or before sunrise can make black duffels and small items hard to pick out. The dual-color construction gives your Varial XL a black outer finish with a high-visibility interior, so the inside surface contrasts with packed gear. When unloading at a stop or trailhead, the contents are easier to spot and pull from the box without emptying everything first.
