Will the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Work w/ Jake Brakes on a Diesel Coach?

Question:

Can the Stay N Play DUO be used on a diesel coach? My diesel coach engine brakes when set to cruise control. How will that effect the DUO braking on the towed vehicle?

Hey Jill! You're going to need the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes item # SM99243 for your diesel coach.

The Stay-IN-Play Duo item # DM86VR will not operate with the jake brakes because it does not supply power to the system in your towed vehicle.

Hey Jerred My RV doesn’t have air brakes. It’s a Mercedes 3500X Sprinter Chassis ( diesel engine) with hydraulic brakes. Thanks

@JillC Ok, thanks for that information! You definitely want the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo item # DM86VR then. It's a proportional system so it will brake or slow with the same intensity that your coach is stopping or slowing.
