Question:
Hello, I have an Audi S5 with a Curt Class 1 hitch on it. Currently, to tow U-Haul motorcycle trailers, I use a 1-1/4” to 2” adapter and a Reese Towpower ball mount with a 9-3/4” rise. This is to achieve the tongue height of 18-1/2” required for U-Haul. Could you please help me find a 1-1/4” ball mount with at least a 9” rise? Thank you

Hey Sam that's quite a bit of rise! The only thing we have that comes close to 9" is the Curt Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches item # C45028. It has a 5-3/8" rise from the top of the inside of the hitch receiver. I checked with our vendors and no one has anything higher than that.
If you use the Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2" Hitch Ball item # C94CR you can gain an 1-1/2" of height over a standard hitch ball. This 2" hitch ball would get your total height just shy of 7".
Just an FYI about your current setup, using a 1/4" to 2" adapter reduces your hitches towing capacity by 50%. This would limit a class I hitch's capability down to 1,000 lbs.
