Question:
Do you have the brake pad part number K7104600 for a Dexter 23-472-00 and 23-473-00? I need just the pads, not the assembly. Axel weight rating is 3000 pounds.

Hey Dave we do offer replacement brake shoes for your Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes Left/Right Hand Assemblies item # K23-472-473-00. They are the 10" x 1-1/2" Electric Brake Shoe/Lining One Wheel item # bp04-065. You'll need two sets to do both brakes.
We also offer replacement magnets, item # BP01-068. For a spring kit you can use item # K71-362-00, for the adjuster item # BP10-060 and for the adjuster dust plug item # BP10-220. We also offer the magnet retainer clips, sold in packs of four as item # BP19-001.
Brake assemblies are the type of product where the cost of all the parts can be greater than the price of a new assembly. If the shoes and magnets need replacing on both sides, you might consider replacing both assemblies. That way, you'd get all new parts. For the right side item # K23-473-00 and item # K23-472-00 for the left.

Hey Dave, did you decide to go with just the replacement brake shoes, or did you consider replacing the entire brake assemblies? I'm curious because it could help others make a decision when faced with similar choices.
