DOT II or DOT III Brake Fluid for the Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator # T4813102
Updated 06/17/2014 | Published 06/16/2014 >
Question:
The instruction book mentions DOT II Brake fluid in the installation section and then says to use DOT III in the maintenance section. In my experience its usually ok to upgrade DOT II to DOT III but not ok to use DOT II when DOT III is specified. Which one is correct? Or does it not matter?

Expert Reply:
DOT III would be the correct brake fluid to use with theTitan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit # T4813102. DOT II is typically used in drum brake applications so I would not recommend it with this system since this actuator is designed for disc brakes.
