Question:
I have Curt model17500 hitch that I’m currently using and I am purchasing a new travel trailer that has a TW of 1250lbs and a UW of 10,044 and a GVWR of 11,300 . My question is can I just update the bars to the heavier style like on the Curt 17501 and will everything else transfer over .

Hey James, you can do that almost. The heads on the two systems are different as well, so you'd have to swap the head on your # C17500 with the Replacement Head for Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C17509.
From here, you can swap the bars out with the upgraded Replacement Trunnion Spring Bar for Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17537.
If I can help you with anything else, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

Hey James, how did the swap go with the new head and heavier spring bars for your Curt TruTrack setup? Your results could really help others upgrading to a heavier travel trailer.
