Question:
Hello, I just bought a used 2013 lance 950S and it does not have the 7 blade connector that I have on my truck. Instead it has a 7 pin female connector. Do you have the correct adapter for this to work?

Hey Jason! It sounds like you have the proprietary plug from Lance on there right now. As far as we know there are no adapter available to convert this. The best solution is to cut off the connector and add the # PK12706 which is a standard 7-way plug. I do recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2979 to match up the correct functions.

Thanks Robin! I contacted the local Lance dealer and they said the Lance plug uses a thicker gauge wire, 8#, for the power lines of the connector as opposed to the standard 10# of the 7 blade connector. I’m going to have them install a Lance receptacle in the back of my truck to make it easy on me. They are charging $350. I figure it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the price of potentially frying my electrical system. I’ll sleep easier even if it is overkill.
