For your DeeMaxx disc brakes # DE86AR, you'll want to use DOT 4 brake fluid. It’s the recommended type because it handles heat really well, which is important for trailer and heavy-duty braking systems like DeeMaxx. You’ll want to steer clear of DOT 3 and especially DOT 5! DOT 5 is silicone-based and just isn’t compatible with the components in your system.
