What is Wheel Backspacing of 1956 Dodge Coronet

Question:

I have a 1956 Dodge Coronet that Im looking to replace the wire wheels with steel wheels that I can use the full size. hubcaps with. I was wondering what the backspace is on AM20504. Thank you

Hey Richard, the conventional wheel part # AM20504 that you referenced has a backspacing of 4 inches. It looks like the stock wheel backspacing of your 1956 Dodge Coronet is 4.5 inches so hopefully with 1/2 inch less you'd still have clearance.

Hey Richard, how did the Dexstar steel wheels work out on your Dodge Coronet with that 4-inch backspacing? It’d be great to hear if the clearance ended up being good. Your update could make it easier for others working on similar classic cars.
