Question:

looking for trailer hitch for my 1971 buick electra 225 I see you go to 1977 but can you make a hitch for my 1971 buick???

Regrettably we do not offer any trailer hitch receivers for the 1971 Buick Electra 225. The only potential option I can suggest other than custom fabrication is an adjustable type hitch intended for use on RVs and motor homes. One such item is the Curt # 13703.

This hitch bolts or welds into place on the outsides of your frame rails. You will need to carefully measure your Electra's frame height above ground to see if there is enough room for the mounting brackets. Since this hitch is intended for use on motor homes that have much greater height than most autos, there may not be enough ground clearance at the bottom of the brackets.

I have linked a photo of the bracket that indicates its dimensions. The bracket will extend below the Electra's frame rails by approximately 8-inches. If this is too low for safe ground clearance then a custom hitch may be your only option.
