Will this mount on the Front Runner Slimline II Platform Rack?

Hello, and thanks for getting in touch. The Inno Rod Box Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier # IN52FR would not be compatible with the FrontRunner Slimline platform. Reason being the platform does not use a standard crossbar shape/size and the outer "rail" would prevent the box from lowering all the way on to the crossbars.

To mount the rod carrier, a better option is to use a roof rack with crossbars. I see that you were looking at parts for a 2015 VW Touareg. The Yakima Roof Rack # Y62GD is custom fit for your Touareg, and will allow you to mount the rod carrier. It uses a standard aero crossbar. The picture below shows an example of this roof rack.
