Recommended Anti-Rattle Device for a 2-1/2" Hitch Using a 2" Adapter

I have a 2 1/2inch hitch with a 2inch adapter sleeve. How far do the side clips open to get around the inside lip. I need at least 1 3/8inch to grab a hold of the lip on the hitch. This is on a 2018 Ram 2500

Hey Tracy, thanks for the picture! I am sorry but the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar for 2" Hitch Receivers item # e38FV is not going to work for your set up. You need space behind the lip on your hitch receiver for the back side of the collar to clamp around.
Instead you'll want to use the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer III for 2-1/2" Hitch with 2" Adapter item # BX88312. I attached a picture below that will show you this anti-rattle device on an almost identical set up to yours.
