Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this DeeMaxx Replacement Bolt and Sleeve Assembly. This is gonna replace the caliper bolt and sleeve assembly on your DeeMaxx disc brake caliper. This will fit your caliper's rated for 3,500 pound to 8,000 pound axles and it is an exact replacement from DeeMaxx. So no worries about fit issues or compatibility problems or anything like that. It is going to have the outer half inch hex size and then the inner is gonna be about 5/16 of an inch.

The thread is 11 by 1.5 millimeter. And to give you a idea of the length, you can see from the bottom of the head there we're saying about right about two and a half inches out. The part was fine, as expected. But the real story here is Abbey V. who helped make sure I got the right part and that it showed up in time to get our RV repaired before we had to hit the road. The customer service at eTrailer is ALWAYS top tier!

This is a very important component on the disc brake system. It secures the brake callipers to the wheel/ rotor assembly. On our Fifth wheel trailer one bolt was completely missing and the second finger tight. This could have caused a total brake failure. Neither bolt had any thread locker on it, I noticed the replacements are coated by the factory. I found the problem by chance, doing other maintenance work. Re-torquing these bolts before every trip is now on my maintenance checklist.

Worked perfect. Make sure to check regularly. Two of mine were gone. Removed others and added blue loctite.

Got me out of a pinch!
Shipping was odd though. I shopped this on a Sunday, needing it by Thursday at the latest, and that was to cost Thirty Bucks.
So I shopped locally Monday for a bolt, but found out it's a very specific thread, so I shopped online here again and found shipping to be just Thirteen Bucks to get it delivered the same day Wednesday. Weird!
