What Is The Correct Cord Storage Bar Position For etrailer SD Tow Bar e44ZR?

Question:
I bought the SD tow bar for roadmaster baseplate from you. It says in product description that it must be set up with cord storage bar on the inside or it can be damaged with turns. Is this true? In one of the photos on your site it clearly shows one customer is towing with it on the inside. Reason I ask is I also would like to use cord storage bar on the inside since my plug in socket for the car is over on the passenger side and it just seems to hold the cord neater with less tension. Thanks for your insight

Hello Cheney, thanks for reaching out. The cord storage bar on the etrailer SD Tow Bar # e44ZR should be positioned on the outside of the tow bar, like in the picture below.
That said, I have seen people position it on the inside without issue. So if having the bar on the inside works better for your plug location you can do so. Just do your best to keep the cable away from any pinch points.

Hey Cheney, how did things go with positioning the cord storage bar on your SD tow bar? Did keeping it on the inside work better with your plug location? Your update could make it easier for others setting up the same tow bar.
