Question:
Unfortunately, my F350 will be down for a while and I need to tow my 2019 ATC 405 extended tongue 24’ trailer with my 2025 Raptor R. Total weight of the trailer with my race car is just under 7k lbs. what hitch, etc would you recommend? One trip will be over 500 miles and a second trip is right at 1,000 miles one way. I know this is less than ideal. Thx!

Hey John, thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear about your F-350 though - being down a vehicle it always really inconvenient.
For a hitch receiver I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14017 because it has a rating of 10K but that's bumped up to 12K when used with a weight distribution system (which, according to the online owner's manual is required for anything over 5K), and the Curt hitches are always really solid.
To round up your towing equipment you'll also need wiring, a brake controller, and a weight distribution system. For wiring we list out the Curt # C58044, but I recommend checking out the ZCI Wiring # 119250KIT instead. Reason being newer vehicles tend to have more sensitive wiring and the ZCI uses clamps to secure to your OEM wiring instead of having to splice into the factory wiring. Then you'll need the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 for all of the extra parts to get your brake controller hooked up.
For a brake controller I really like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR due to how versatile it is when it comes to where it can be installed on your Raptor.
The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight # BXW1000 is a solid choice for a weight distribution, but you'll need to reach out to your trailer manufacturer to make sure it's okay for weight distribution to be used with the aluminum frame of your trailer.
Attached are some videos for you to check out.
What is your favorite race you've been to so far?
