Hello Leonard, thanks for reaching out. With that heavy of a trailer, the porpoising you mentioned is likely due to your trucks suspension flexing. So beefing up the rear suspension should definitely help reduce the excessive movement. Something like the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA13MXKT will be a great option for you. They have 3,000 lb capacity so this will add a lot of additional support to the rear end. They are a pretty easy add on too. Just keep in mind these will not fit vehicles with factory top overload springs. Also, you will need to special order longer u-bolts from SuperSprings if your spring stack height is greater than 2-3/4" at the axle.

Hey Leonard, how did things go after adding the SuperSprings kit to your Silverado? Did it help smooth out the porpoising when towing your fifth wheel? Your update could make it easier for others dealing with the same issue.
