Question:
I have a dual axle Outback trailer that I use to haul my side-by-side and small tractors. I am looking to get a spare tire. It has. the silver powder coated steel wheels and Kenda K558 ST205/75D15 tires. It is a 5 lug with 4 1/2inch spacing. Will this ST205/75R15 tire work well as a spare to the stock ST205/75D15 tires?

Hello Dave, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Kenda Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel # AM32418DX will work as a spare to your stock Kenda K558 ST205/75D15 tires. With a spare, as long as you match the size, it can be used for a spare and will serve its purpose in the case of a blowout.
The # AM32418DX is a Radial load range D tire though, the tires in your picture are bias ply load range C tires. So they are the same size, but they are not identical. Ideally all 4 tires should be identical in ply and load range. So the # AM32418DX can work as a spare but really should only be used as needed until you can get to a shop and get a new identical tire.
We do carry a Kenda Loadstar ST205/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range C part # AM1ST92, if you want the spare to be more similar. The only thing is we don't offer this tire pre mounted on a wheel. You can purchase the wheels separately, part # AM20537, and you would just have to go get them mounted/balanced. We do not have machines for that here at our warehouse.
