Suspension Upgrade Kit Recommendation for a 35" Wheelbase Triple Axle Trailer

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/01/2025

Question:

Hello. Im looking to upgrade the suspension on my 2006 Weekend Warrior Toy Hauler. I believe it is the FS3400, Billet Edition, but as the 3rd owner, information got lost with each sale. I just broke a couple suspension shackles so I cant get an accurate wheelbase measurement, but its currently measuring 72 from front to rear triple axel so Im thinking its 35. What do you recommend?

Hey Michael,

If that's from center axle to center axle then you're probably right that you need a suspension enhancement for a 35" wheelbase, but it would be good to measure your equalizers as well just to make sure everything matches up.

The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-657-00 is a great option that has been proven over time to be really reliable and we've received great feedback on the ride quality increase so I recommend going with this kit.

I'm attaching a dimensional photo of the equalizers in this kit so you can compare to what you have. If you have something different, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to help make sure you get the correct kit!

Hey Michael, how did things turn out with the Dexter E-Z Flex suspension kit for your Weekend Warrior? Did the equalizer measurements line up with what you had? Your update could make it easier for others upgrading older toy haulers.
