Is The Aluminum Trinity Series Trailer Wheel TA84XR Hub Centric Or Lug Centric?
Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 12/30/2024 >
Question:
Are these wheels Hub Centric or Lug Centric. I am looking to upgrade to H Rated 17.5” wheels and tires on my Toy Hauler, and I do not want to replace my Lug Centric hubs. I would just like to upgrade wheels and tires. Also are there any steel wheel options that are 17.5” that are Lug Centric.

Hello Max, thanks for reaching out. The Aluminum Trinity Series Trailer Wheel # TA84XR is a lug centric wheel. All of the other 17-1/2" lug centric wheels we offer are aluminum. We have a few steel 17-1/2" options but they are all hub centric. For lug centric you will need to stick with aluminum. The # TA84XR wheel you mentioned does have steel inserts in the lug nut wells.

Hey Max, how did the upgrade to the 17.5" aluminum wheels go on your Toy Hauler? Did the lug centric fit with the steel inserts meet your expectations? Your update could make it easier for the next person planning a similar wheel upgrade.
