Question:
Will 5.30 12inch tires with 5 lug nuts on a 4.5” diameter pattern fit this axle?

Expert Reply:
The axle assembly you referenced, part # 35545E-ST-89 includes brake hub/drums that have a 5 lug on 4-1/2 inch bolt circle. However, the 12 inch diameter brake drums wouldn't be compatible with your current wheels. The drums would not fit correctly into the recess in the back of the wheel.
The easiest course of action would be to move up to a tire on a 13 inch wheel. We offer a 175/80-13 load range B bias ply tire on a white powder coated 8 spoke wheel with a 5 lug on 4-1/2 inch bolt circle, part # AM3S050. This wheel/tire combo would indeed be compatible with the axle you referenced. The tire would be about 2 inches in diameter taller and about an inch wider than your existing tires.
