Question:
Ive got a 2025 Ford F250 truck with the 5th wheel prep package, so I intend to order a pullrite autoglide hitch that uses the Ford OEM puck system. Ive got a 2025 Grand Design 260RD 5th wheel. This RV has a Curt Turning Point Pinbox and weighs 7500lbs dry and 10,000lbs fully loaded GVWR. Thus, I assume the 16k pullrite superglide for Ford OEM puck system is the right hitch for my truck and RV. What I dont understand is whether a capture plate is needed. According to this thread, maybe not? https://www.mygrandrv.com/threads/pullrite-superglide-5th-wheel-hitch.74090/ Obviously, I would have the Curt Turning Point hitch locked, so it could not rotate when using the Pullrite Superglide. But, how does the hitch contact the pin box correctly without a capture plate? thanks!

Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out!
The 16K Pullrite SuperGlide # PUL43RR is an excellent option for towing your Grand Design with your 2025 F-250, and if you lockout your Lippert Turning Point pin box you'll be able to use them together.
You won't need a capture plate for the Turning Point, but you will need the Pullrite Rotational Pin Box Wedge # PUL86RR. Some might argue that a universal wedge can be used (like what was referenced in the forum you linked to), but in my experience it's best to use a specified wedge when the hitch manufacturer recommends it, because the Pullrite has a larger funnel so the specific wedge will fit better.

Hey Mike, how did things go pairing your Pullrite SuperGlide with the Turning Point pin box? Did the Pullrite wedge give you the secure fit you were looking for? Your update could make it easier for others setting up the same combo.
