Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 08/14/2025

Question:

Wrt PullRight 2714 Superglide Hitch. What is the measurement from truck bed floor to the level hitch sadel? Can the hitch sadel be raised? If it cant, does PullRite offer any adapters to raise the sadel? Thanks for your info. Tom

Hey there Tom, the PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch # PUL43RR has a hitch height of 17-1/2". This will be from the base to the top of the head when the head is level, the same as what you are describing. PullRite does not offer this hitch with an adjustable height setting, or have a way to raise it up. It is a nice hitch but the height adjustment will have to come from your pin box.

If you want more flexibility, the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550024 is a great alternative. This is also designed to fit a 2025 Ford F-250 with the prep package. The Demco hitch adjusts from 15-1/2" to 18-1/4" so it will sit a little higher. The PullRite also needs a capture plate no matter what, the Demco only needs one for certain pin boxes.

How has the rest of the work gone on your trailer?

Thanks Robin for the info. I currently have a PullRite Superglude #4400 installed on our 2014 GMC 3500. Needed to get Pullrite's 3" Lift Kit for the hitch for clearance. Current bed to level sadel measurement is 18.5" I have a 2026 Ford F-350 on order. Debating between getting the the puck system 4442 &4409 adapters for the 4400 or a new hitch. Want to make sure I have sufficient clearance between to new truck and the fifth wheel before I decide which direction to go. Thanks for the suggestion of an alternative hitch. Will have to look into that one. Still dealing with left front leg issues. Been on the phone a lot with Lippert and have replaced all components without success. Time to take it to a dealership to let an experience tech work on it. Thanks for asking Tom
