Question:

Hello , I have a big tex 35SA 12ft single axle 3000lb trailer. I would like to replace the full wiring harness and all of the lights preferably with leds. Can you help me put a list together so I may place an order? Thanks

Hey Jules,

Big Tex doesn't list the part numbers for the lights used on the 35SA but it looks like the Optronics LED Combination Trailer Tail Light # STL3RB (driver side) and # STL2RB (passenger side) would be a match for the tail lights, but I'd still need to confirm dimensions with you. I'd also need dimensions on the clearance lights as well.

For the wiring I recommend the Optronics Wishbone 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness # A25W42B. This wishbone style harness will have two separate running light wires so you can easily run your wiring down both sides of the trailer.

You'll want to use some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-10 to protect all of your electrical connections from the corrosion. You'll need some electrical tape # PTW502 and possibly some more wire loom # 7509-10 or loom clamps # A0250 if yours is worn or damaged.
