Question:
I have a RV with one Go Power 200watt panel. I want to buy the Overlander expansion panel. Question is , without going on roof , do I need any additional cables ? Or , can I plug into what’s there

Hi Matt; it is possible you will need additional cables. However, I can't be 100% sure without knowing the location this additional panel will be installed and what your current setup looks like. The Go Power Overlander Expansion Kit # 34282182 includes the MC4 expansion branch connectors so if they're close enough together you may be able to reach the entry plate and make the connection. If they're going to be a good distance apart you can expect to need the 3' # 34274672 or even the 10' # 34276216.
If you take a look at the picture below you will see a 2 panel setup. The branch connectors are plugged into the entry plate and the extended cables were required to reach the connectors. If the solar panel with the extensions was mounted to the roof just on the other side of the entry plate, opposite the visible solar panel, the extension would not be necessary. When you get a chance I would take a look on the roof just to double check.

Hey Matt, how did things go with adding the Overlander expansion panel to your RV? Were the existing cables long enough, or did you end up using one of the extension options? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar solar system.
