When you’re hauling serious weight, you need hardware that won’t flex under pressure. This pintle hook and ball combo handles up to 16,000 lbs when using the pintle hook and 12,000 lbs on the 2-5/16" hitch ball. Whether it’s a trailer with a lunette ring or a standard coupler, the forged steel construction keeps everything secure mile after mile.
If you tow different trailers, this combo makes it easy to switch between them. The pintle hook connects to lunette ring couplers with diameters of 2-1/2" or 3", while the chrome-plated 2-5/16" ball fits standard ball couplers. Instead of keeping two separate mounts, you can cover both setups with one solid piece of gear.
Regular towing exposes your hitch to rain, dirt, and road salt. The high-gloss black powder coat on the pintle hook and shank, matched with the chrome-plated hitch ball, resists corrosion and wear. That means you can leave it in the receiver without worrying about rust taking over.
No adjustments or moving parts—just slide the shank into your 2" x 2" receiver and lock it down. The design includes a tethered safety pin for the pintle hook so you won’t lose it when swapping trailers. Hitch pin and clip or lock are sold separately, giving you flexibility to choose your preferred setup.
The mount gives you up to a 2-3/4" maximum drop to help line up your trailer level. It measures 15-1/4" overall, with 11-3/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball, keeping plenty of clearance between your bumper and trailer tongue. It’s a steady, balanced setup ready for work or weekend hauls.

Heavy Duty. I use it on my Ford 350 to haul out boats with a hydraulic trailer. Never a worry if the trailer will pop off the pintle.
Solid 2-5/16" hitch. The recesses let water by so the hitch won't rust up in your receiver hitch and will be easy to get out. I bought this as a spare, but after receiving it, I will be using it as my primary hitch. I originally bought it to put in my trailer spotter on my skidsteer to move trailers around without having to swap the original hitch from the truck.
The customer service and the timeliness in which l have received my orders from etrailer.com is second to none. I needed my hitch to arrive on time so I could pick up a nice chunk of Sycamore. A bit of electrical tape on the shaft to eliminate "play" in the receiver, slip in the new lockable SS pin from Bulldog and off we went to pick up my prize! What a great company to do business with!
