Question:
I recently purchased and installed a set of AKHD-550-35-K Pre-greased Drum Assemblies. How much grease should I add via the grease zert on the end of the axle after assembly? Thank you

Hi Baer; since the # AKHD-550-35-K came pre-greased there is no need to add additional grease at this time. These come with the right amount of so they're ready to go once installed. However, if you want to add some extra grease it won't hurt and might give you peace of mind about it. I will also say you want to make sure you're extra careful so you don't blow out the grease seal.
To use the E-Z lube grease zerk you slowly pump grease into the fitting while rotating the wheel. When grease (typically new grease if you're doing this after it has run for a while) comes out of the front it is time to stop and remove the grease gun. Wipe away the extra grease and replace your grease cap.

Hey Baer, how did things go with your pre-greased drum assemblies after following those steps with the E-Z lube fitting? Did the grease flow smoothly without any issues at the seal? Your update could make it easier for others working on the same setup.
