What is the difference between a d spud outlet and a vacuum breaker outlet on rv shower valves, are they interchangeable?

Hi Darrell; the D-spud found on the # PF213321 is just a standard outlet. This is typically used on a diverter shower. The vacuum breaker found on # PF213324 prevents backflow. This would be the better choice for a handheld shower set but they are interchangeable.
