Question:

Please verify that this item CES84XR can replace the axle assembly that came with my Malone EcoLight trailer purchased in 2023. The information on the sticker shown in your website photos matches the sticker on my axle photos attached. But I want to be 100 certain before ordering. For one thing, my trailer uses 8inch wheels. Is that what this axle is designed for?

Candance, I wasn't able to find any info on replacement axles for the Malone EcoLight # MAL53FR but I can say as long as your axle measures 49" from hub face to hub face, 38 1/2" from spring center to spring center, and has a 54" beam length, then the CE Smith Trailer Axle Beam with Studded Hubs # CES84XR will work.

This axle does have an 1,800 lb capacity which is more than plenty, and has a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern which will also work with that trailer.

Hey Candance, were you able to check those axle measurements on your Malone EcoLight trailer? Knowing if they matched up with the CE Smith axle would be really helpful. Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same trailer.

@RobinH I ended up not replacing the axle. However I do believe this is the correct axle for the EcoLight trailer. The original axle on my EcoLight trailer does measure 49" from hub face to hub face. If "beam length" is the width from the outside of one mounted wheel to the other, then yes it is 54." I'm not sure how to measure "spring center to spring center."
