I bought my first 5th wheel rv. I didn’t know and camper World didn’t tell me I couldn’t use Curt rota-flex with gooseneck adapter and lock out That bought new .What would be my cheapest way to redo everything to make it safe. Flatbed truck the Or can I just weld it together to where it won’t move ? A how unsafe is it just on a 50mile trip 2 or 3 times a year

Hello Bryan, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you are wanting to hook your 5th wheel up to the gooseneck ball on your flatbed truck. Since your camper has the rota-flex, you will need to get a new pin box. I do not recommend jury rigging or welding anything since this is a huge safety risk. You would be risking not only your own safety but the safety of other motorists.
The best option for you will be to go with a gooseneck pin box like the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY38FR. This is designed to replace the 1621 and 1621HD pin boxes so we will need to confirm what pin box size/bolt pattern you have now. There should be a sticker on the pin box that shows the size, otherwise you can use the measuring guide linked below to determine your pin box size.
I will also need to confirm the GVWR of your 5th wheel in order to be sure you get the right model. Let me know the GVWR in the comments below and I am happy to confirm fitment.

Well thanks But that sounds expensive. just can’t spent that much must be a cheaper way that’s safe
