Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/08/2024

Question:

Theres a Curt and Draw-Tite trailer hitch for a 2025 Chevy Trailblazer but struggling to notice the difference. Is there one or is one recommended over the other for any reason or is this one of those that is just the best price wins lol

Hey Daniel,

Good question, and there is really just one difference that could matter between the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT55GR and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C93VV for your 2025 Chevy Trailblazer, and that's the tongue weight capacity.

Though both are 2" receivers the Draw-Tite has a 525 lb tongue weight capacity vs. the 200 lb tongue weight capacity of the Curt. That would really only matter if you want to load up a cargo carrier heavily, or you have a heavy bike rack and some electric bikes that are going to surpass that 200 lb weight limit.

Since your Trailblazer only has a 1,000 lb towing capacity, the Draw-Tite's 3,500 lb and Curt's 2,000 lb towing capacities aren't particularly relevant. So unless you really need that extra tongue weight capacity, I'd honestly just go with the least expensive option between the Curt # C93VV and Draw-Tite # DT55GR.

Hey Daniel, how did things turn out with the hitch for your Trailblazer? Did you end up going with the Draw-Tite or the Curt option? Knowing which one worked best could help others comparing the same two hitches.
